Orthogonal Projection

Orthogonal projection is a HandsSee method for conveying threedimensional objects to blind persons using three tactile drawings (front, side and top view) plus an accompanying descriptive text. It provides a systematic approach for letting blind persons 'visualize' threedimensional objects which cannot be explored by touch (e.g. buildings, dangerous animals, fragile objects) without requiring costly and impractical threedimensional replica's. It is mainly applied in the contexts of education and cultural expositions.

This list is for discussion and announcements around orthogonal projection and directly related methods.

Tactile production

On this list we discuss the production of tactile images at any scale (ranging from manual drawing and personal tactile printers to large-volume production) with the goal of ensuring readers have access to tactile images when and where they need them.
